A warning about free fonts.....I went on a font downloading rampage last week. So many free fonts out there, and I had to have as many as I could get. That being said...I installed all the fonts and promtly moved on with my day knowing I had the for future use. The next time I went to use Adobe Preniere it shut down claiming it had generated errors...The Photoshop told me ther were some sort of harware issues and could not start, in the end, all Adobe products failed me. Remember I had put these fonts and the download memories thereof away in a box down in the dugeon of my brain. So Adobe world is setting my hair on fire with the can't go blues I have systematically uninstalled stuff I figure may be causing this grief when it hit me....THE FONTS. Sure enough there was some sort of corrupt font in the gazillion I downloaded. So this is to let you people know just in case you go there, to free font world and can't start Adobe stuff, ask yourself.....Did I download any free fonts lately?

Thanks for the warning Mino.

That's why the FDA should approve all fonts before distribution. Write your congressman.

Hope your system is back up and running.

Up and running it is.....I love how software takes a problem and identifies it with any of a few warning popups at its disposal. Like if yor machine was on fire it would tell you to check you connections and re-boot ;D

And before the Mac people come into my cozy world...Yes I'm aware that if your machine was on fire it would say

"Fire supression systems activatad on motherboard sectors 2 thru 6...All functions re routed to sector 24....rebuild nanobots have been dispatched to affected areas....HAVE A NICE DAY :)"

Actually my Mac directed, shot, edited, and posted my last short. It's fused itself to the DVX via a firewire umbilical cord. They're in love. They're expecting their first child any day now. And they're all like, "Adobe what?" And I was all like, "Yeah, don't you remember?" And they were all like, "No."

Also, performance of apps and even your OS can be degraded by having too many installed fonts. Apps, such as Adobe's, will check for and parse/load all installed fonts. Throw a bad font or two in there and things can get really wonky.

I recommend trimming down your installed font list to those that you regularly use. Keep the others offline until you need them.

Tell that to the monkey!

Ok, I don't want the Animal Abuse people to come after me. I'll make it only loop a few times. ;D
