View Full Version : turning my powerbook into a field monitor help

hi,
i could use some very detailed help on how i can use my powerbook as a field monitor and then the best results like what settings should i use in final cut to obtain best results pretty much any help you could give me to help me out would be very helpfull i.e. settings, the actual detailed proccess, and also in final cut pro hd to capture in 24fps and have a 24fps timeline then render out a 24fps dvd, any help and i will be very gratefull.

Sorry I forgot you had a Powerbook... I don't really know if there is a software like that for Apple.

Ronik, have you used dvrack? We were close to picking it up, but couldn't find any solid feedback. Thanks.

Yes I have it on my laptop and I really appreciate it! You don't need a very powerful computer to run DVRack! I would like it to be available for Apple because I'm a mac user but DVRack really worth the price!

alveraz - DVrack is golden! - When you have a little time to kill search the forum for various reviews. Getting pretty high marks. I would prefer a higher resolution on screen [think it's about 300 lines] If you have pro field monitors maybe not such a big deal but even the capture to hard drive is a real sweetie. It basically replaces a handful of various equipment. Try the demo if you have a laptop kicking around - Odds are you will dig it.
