Text scroll and text layers

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone knows how to create a credit roll (or scroll) effect in AE 7.0. I'm sure there is one, but I couldn't find anything about it on the help files.

I already know how to create text layers and such, I just need to figure out this scroll thing.

And on a related question: I added new text layers at the beginning of the composition (for credits), but now there's a kind of empty space between the last text layer and the first layer of the actual film. I can't extend the layers. Any idea on how to bring them together?

Write your credits out vertically and animate the Y position parameter to simulate scrolling.

Is that the only method to achieve this effect? Isn't there some kind of animation preset?

I would be glad if someone could answer the second part of my question. I'm stumped.
