eyedropper not working in the monitor

i want to take a sample from the monitor panel but it doesn't work. all the eyedroppers dont work in the monitor panel. even keylight. i am using cs3 anyone any ideas i would be grateful

i mean the color picker doesn't work in the monitor panel. checked around a lot and nothing.

another revision. i am not sure if people know what i am trying to say. but any plug in color picker doesn't work in the monitor panel to take a sample from the video.

also the information panel doesn't display any values while over the footage,
