Flying text help in AE

Hey all,

I have been looking around here and some other forums for a bit but can't seem to find the specific thing i am looking for.

Basically i have a scene were the lead character is writing something into his journal. this turns into sort of a montage of sentences that he is writing. when this happens i want the text to sort of float off of the page and then fly around.

How would i go about doing this sort of thing in after effects, or do does anyone have a tutorial for something like this?

I appreciate the tip, however i am not that skilled with AE, i was wondering if there was anyone who would be able to explain it in a little more detail.
