Hi all,

I'm in the market for a better standard angle lens for use with my LEX, and have (pretty much) narrowed it down to the Nikon 50/1.4, or the Nikon 50/1.8.

I know, I know, small difference, but among the Nikon faithful there are a lot of strong opinions on either side of this one. Ken Rockwell has a pretty detailed review of each, and recommends passing on the 1.4 in favor of the 1.8, citing its (in his opinion, I suppose) sharper and distortion-free image. But on other boards, I've read exactly the opposite.

I'm hoping to get some feedback from anyone in the DVX community who's used either or both... Thanks much! You guys and gals are awesome...

ps. If you've never seen it, Ken's site has a pretty ridiculous amount of information on lenses from every manufacturer and decade, I'm pretty sure there's something on there for everyone.

I have a 50mm f/1.4 and have been happy with it, but I tend to use it at f/4, which is usually the sweet spot for most f/1.4 lenses....
