I have some problems with the „sound management“ and the autofocus of the HVX 200 and I would be happy for help. 1., ALC: You can turn on the limiter, or off, but there is no possibility to say channel 1 works with limiter (the camera mic) and channel 2 works without (the line signal from the mixer) ?? 2., Monitoring or return signal: For controlling the mixer signal I use a “return cable” which sends the mixer sound after entering the camera back to the mixer. By using the headphone plug I have some problems, because I hear always channel 1+2 simultaneous. What can I do to hear only channel 2. (channel 1 is the onboardmic, channel 2 the mixersound which I want to control) 3., I use the autofocus not very often, but I am a little confused about his inaccuracy. If you turn the AF on, you can read in meters/feet the distance which he has adjusted in this moment. He shows often very inaccurate distances, even when the picture has a good contrast. (very often he shows infinity, even when the motive distance is 2-3 meter) Sorry for my bad English, but I am not a native speaker.

1) no, it's all or nothing (unless I'm wrong, which is entirely possible, I haven't tested whether the limiter works only for 1&2 or if it's for 1,2,3 & 4).

2) Set channel 1 and 2 both to go to input 2; that'll force the onboard to go to 3 & 4 and you won't hear 'em.

3) Depends on the zoom setting of the lens. 1/3" camcorders have wide angle lenses and very deep depth of field, and if you're at full wide, a setting of "infinity" will probably give you good focus from a foot away to infinity, so even though it may seem "wrong" to you, it's perfectly sharp.
