I'm not going to buy the Z-Rizer from Zacuto because it cost $330....
I'll just make one myself so does anyone know how hight the Rizer should be?
I'm just going to drill holes to some metal plates so it's not going to be ajustable later.
which is the reason I have to know the exact hight for it before I make one.
so does anyone own the Z-rizer and know exactly how hight the holes should be drilled?????

Thanks

thanks for the help.
I'm not in a hurry at all so it's totally fine.
I just want to know the standard hight for it.

(let me know the hight when you use it with your follow focus)

thanks

Your going to find it very hard to drill holes that are paralell and the right spacing... i was going to machine one on a big industrial mill and i decided to get a zriser for my SGpro.

Maybe?

thanks for the help.
that may be my option for the rizer. (it's cheap too)
but I also want to make sure if anyone has ever used this rizer and didn't have problems with it?????(so is it 85mm of hight what's best?)

OK, yesterday I drilled two holes and cut it into half then made the bottom part for the rizer and it took me all day........
I never thought I would spend so much time to just make this and now I'm thinking that $330 for a Rizer isn't so expensive after all. haha
I don't even think I will finish this so I might just put a handle at the bottom and use it as a handle for my shoulder mount stuff.
so after making just this part, I can tell you that I highly recomend the Z-rizer from Zucuto or the rizer from Geardear......(you will save so much time)

Yeah I was going to machine a block with four holes and put screws in to grip the rod and everything and its not worth the time. The zacuto riser is adjustable and its very well made, i dont regret buying it at all.
