Cool. I was just thinking about the POV one. On my way to check it out.
Good stuff.

//Pretty good. I had to think a bit where the boy crossed the line but then I got it. There sure is a lot to think about when setting up a shot.

I was surprised at how much the line was raped during the sequence.

Easy to miss in an action sequence but still; something always threw me for a loop viisually.

Nice breakdown. I agree with you that the film has a lot of issues but is enjoyable none-the-less. I always get let-down watching Tombstone because I feel that with a little rewriting and a different director it could have been one of the best westerns ever. It had so much going for it but parts (like the romance scenes) just felt really thrown together. Have you heard the story about how the original writer/director was fired to make the film into more of an action movie? From what I heard the Laserdisc version has deleted scenes on it that even the DVD doesn't have. I think the original script may be out there somewhere.

I agree completely.

The cast really makes this film go. I loved OPEN RANGE and consider it one of best westerns ever. I would love to have seen that more contemporary approach with the same ensemble cast.

As big a role as Earps real wife played in real life, it did come across as superfluous.

I'm going to view this after I've seen the film.

I briefly looked through it and it looked really detailed. Thanks for that.

John, I just read your breakdown. It was fascinating. It has me putting "Tombstone" at the top of my netflix list (it's been so long since I saw it).

Great breakdown.

Interesting fact: In the "photo flood" scene, the dress and pose of Dana Delany is a recreation of an actual picture of the real Josephine Marcus. I always thought that was a nice, little-known touch.
