AE crashes my system when I scroll video

When Im scrolling video in AE my system or just my video card crashes and I have to restart. Im working on HD video. Anybody have this problem? any ideas?

Thanks I did that and it worked.
So should I exchange my video card to one that handles openGL better?
I was reading on Adobe's site that they prefer Nvidia.
I have a Visiontek ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 512mem. Should I go exchange it for an Nvidia card? I still have time cause I just got it.
Any thoughts?

Not really sure. We have nvidia cards here at school and openGL wasn't working with them so i disabled it.

I would guess its more of a driver issue then card issue. So you could replace the card and have the same problem. It doesn't matter to much to me i didn't notice any difference. Plus it doesn't effect your output.

BTW. im using AE 6.5 regular.
