No sound in AFter Effects

I have new bought the After Effects CS3 but the problem is when I put sound on the timeline there is no sound at the preview? Just when I finalize the project there is sound?

Is there a special sound preview?

you must do a RAM preview

Yes, press your "period" key on your keyboard and you will hear sound.
