Mixing Mini DV Tapes?

I heard many advice that I should stick with one brand of tapes to avoid any trouble later (like Eject Tape in Canon) due to tape's lubricant formulation, which varies from each manufacturer like sony and panasonic.

However, what if I'm using the same brand of tapes, like Panasonic, but with different type of quality, like Master Quality , Professional Quality and Consumer quality, would it affect a camcorder?
Or is it just affecting recording result like dropout rate and etc...?

There's a serious lack of definitive information on the subject (but a heck of a lot of hearsay).

To be on the safe side, you might want to make any changes in the tapes you use right after having cleaned the heads. I wouldn't suggest cleaning the heads sooner than you would have otherwise, but simply wait until the time you normally clean the heads to make any change in tapes.
