As many of you know I have been working on this film for about 6 months and I am trying to wrap things up. I have to scenes left to shoot, and I have been saving them to the end becasue of the difficulty of the locations of these shots. I have one of them setup now, so my final location that I have to get is inside a hospital recovery room, large enough for lights and a camera crane. There is a local hospital here in town, but they are less than willing to accomodate a poor student with one of these rooms, unless I go break my leg or something. Does anybody have any ideas as to going about finding a recovery room type setting with instruments and hospital beds and all the works. I was thinking about setting up the scene in one of the large science rooms that we have on campus, however I still don't have hospital beds or any of the equipment. Have any of you worked with hospitals and know what kind of policies they have? I live in the middle of washington state, and can pretty much shoot anywhere within the state as it is only a 2 hr drive to every part of the state, so if any of you know of any hospitals that might accomodate film makers your reccomendation is greatly appreciated. If you have any other ideas, like how I could make or find hospital type equipment it would be greatly appreciated as well.
Thanks for your help.

Didn't Rich_Lee have a hospital setup for his music video? Maybe he can give you an idea. Ah, wait, you're in WA.

Yeah, I'd love to be able to go to California, but sadly on my budget, that isn't an option. Although after graduation, say bye bye Washington, and Hello, well, anywhere else that actually has some kind of support for local film makers (seattle excluded).

Do we still consider Modesto part of CA? ;)

So many state run mental institutions have been shut down, that you might be able to get one of those, I know you could in NY. Problem is, you'd have to bring your own power...
