Ya...

And my mom thinks I'm messed up, cause I write horror ideas, and there pretty bad.

I tell her it's just a film, and it's normal.

Isn't it?

I just say look at Eli Roth and his movies, and she goes "Well he's going to kill people to!"

So basically, cause I enjoy torture, and horror movies and killing, I'm accused of being a future killer........HA!

You guys get any of this to?

Thanks,

Robbie

dunno where they wouldve gotten that idea... :)

Kidding... no your normal. I think plenty of people love watching and writing the horror genre without being murderers.

Yeah. A LOT of it. Mainly can I do a gig for someone. As in -take em out-.
Haha, no shit.

But Hey Como, cool talkin on the radio with you but dude, not going to have you over for dinner anytime soon.

Ha. Seriously though dude, anytime you're heading past HelleVille, send a PM first, and you're more than welcome to, ummm, get bored to death, or stop by and have a brown pop. Meet the bro and give the big tour and all that stuff. :)

//In other words, your free to stop in for a beer. We're not like we/I type on dvxuser I guarantee. :)

I write really dark stuff and my mom gets worried. In fact we get into arguments, having to defend my own morality. She knows I'm a good person, just she worries about the movies I make, that perhaps it's hinting to something.

I'm just interested in the darker inner human psyche. It's an interest, doesn't mean anything. It's the movies for crying out loud.

Anyways, yeah, don't worry. You won't turn into a murderer... at least not yet.

I just mean right now I'm boozin and being unprofessional. I can and have done both so no worries. I'm a bit of a character at times, more fun, but I'm sure if you drop by, well, hehe. We're not THAT crazy. Your welcome to swing by if I have prior notice and I think you might find we're quite normal after all.

//Even if your not, haha.

I think it is alot better to write such phantasies down or make a movie out of it instead of keeping it inside for a long time and then maybe really doing some nasty stuff.

I'm pretty tanked but not quite getting any of that. MMmm. What?

The horror stories. Yeah, I think that's norm. Certainly the most disturbing images I've ever seen have been in my own dreams. Now, how to translate that to film and relate that experience to the public would be $$$

Well, at least this thread could serve a purpose in the future when investigators are trying to determine what made Robbie a killer.

Didn't Sueng-Hui Cho write violent scripts?

Kleibold and Harris made a film called "Hitmen for Hire"

Jeff Weise was a flash animator

Just saying.

As long as you don't enjoy causing harm to living things for real... I think you're safe.

I knew a kid who seemed to take the ants and magnifying glass thing to the next level... his parents always argued that it was normal... mark my words... one day we'll be reading about him.

If you enjoy hurting or killing things then I think you're borderline... on the other side of normal.

Many of the top horror film directors are aggresively normal when you meet them, almost square--

Wes Craven
Sam Raimi
David Cronenberg

Also, not horror directors but often bloody and violent--

The Coens
David Lynch

"Genius" and "madman" often go hand in hand.

Seriously Robbie,
How old are you? Not asking to be rude or anything, but your family might be having a hard time with you being a talented film maker at a young age. If you're older and still living at home, they may be having a hard time for other reasons.
Sadly, most of the "normal" people in the world are uncomfortable around the creative and artistic process. It's easier to see it finished and/ or done by someone they don't know.
Don't cheat yourself, but maybe take their feelings into consideration and try to understand where they are coming from? You'll only be better for it.

Ha, I'm 17.

I'm cool with my family, I'm not broken up with them in anyway.

Maybe they were joking about it, in a way. I don't know.

Well, at least this thread could serve a purpose in the future when investigators are trying to determine what made Robbie a killer.

Can a mod delete this thread? :):):):)

You remind me a lot of a guy I used to go to Jr. high with. He was into the morbid too, we actually shot some super 8 stuff together. He was into slasher horror flicks, blood and guts and so on.
30 years later he's doing just fine...... Well, he's not getting out anytime soon but he's been in there so long he's now considered an "old timer" and they pretty much leave him alone...... Plus the fact that lifers get a lot of respect from the other inmates. Really he's at the top of his game right now. You could have a bright future ahead of you.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I like making sports highlights and I'm no athlete. I like making action shoot-em up and martial arts shorts. And I have no desire to shoot people or become a ninja. I like playing 3D shooters and I've never gone on a killing spree.

The fact you posted here concerned shows that you're just fine :)

In short,

(a) If you film actors *simulating* death and all things morbid (and enjoy it) thats ok :kali:

(b) If you actually film real people getting killed (and enjoy it), well then we have a major problem
