Hi,

At the moment i have a dual core 3.4 Ghz system with 3 gb ram and an nVidia card. I am at the moment editing by listening to sound output from the rear f my cpu. The audio out section. Now i would like to have audio playback from my system in a professional manner without any jarring etc. But so far the quality is excellent thru headphones. The motherboard has Dolby Digital 5.1 inbuilt. It has 3 outputs for sound at the back. Now if i wanted to take sound out from this for a theatrical playback situation can i take sound out from the same stereo jack and feed it into the amplifier and thereforth to speakers or should i put in an audio card ????

Thanks Guys

You can do it ether way, I have mine setup with a USB Sound Box and then feed to my mixer via 1/4 jacks and from the mixer to my Speakers.

I also have a output from the mixer to my Home Theatre setup if i want to hear it on high end speakers configured for movies VS the flat response monitors i use for editing.

Hi, I would like to do something similar. Except apart from flat monitorsi woudl like to run the signal to an auditoria amp (CROWN XLS) series and feed the sound to the audince jbl pro speakers. I want cd quality sound out from the original cd wav files that are being played from the hard disk. Which is the best method for this. Any card recommendations ?
