timecode issue when capturing

so when i am capturing, my DVX flashes the end timecode on the tape pretty frequently, and this completely screws up Final Cut when it tries to look for a specific part of the tape in batch capture.

is there a way to tell the DVX not to constantly flash the end timecode? It would make batch capturing so much easier for me.
