MoviePoet.com is a screenwriting site with hundreds of 5 page scripts in their database.

I realize that many scripts can be a little overwhelming to read through, so I thought I would list some scripts that might be interesting for TimeFest (I'll continue to add more as I think of them).

"Time in a Bottle (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=138)" by Aimee Parrott In Production
A woman keeps a promise she made to her best friend.

"The Small Multiple (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=2)" by Don Riemer In Production
A well meaning scientist builds a machine to access alternate universes, with unexpected consequences.

"Friday Night Lights (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=288)" by William Bienes
Waiting for her phone to ring, Muriel must decide what she will do if it doesn't.
Note: This script has been rewritten and given a new title "Reprieve". You can read the rewrite by clicking on the rewrite date ("3/2/2008").

"The Last Fisherman (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=46)" by Matthew Phillips
A young boy finds himself alone in post-apocalypse New England.

"Superbitch (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=413)" by Charlie Hebert ~ Third Place
Lois and Clark are headed for divorce court.

"Daily Grind (http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=281)" by Trevor Bryon
A salary-man gets to let loose when he goes to work and finds his office empty, but then discovers his job is hanging by a thread.

You need to register (it's quick, easy, and free) to read the scripts. If you find one you like, please contact the author directly to arrange for the rights.

Thanks for the tip, Chris!

I have contacted the author of Time in a Bottle and we'll see what she says. This was a great idea!

Aimee is an awesome writer. I hope you two can work it out. I would love to see that story brought to life.

Well it appears I was too slow on the uptake - :undecided

Aimee emailed me to let me know that someone else had gotten to her first for the same festival!

So while it won't be me, you will see it come to life thanks to TimeFest!

Here is a link to the "Time in a Bottle (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=128344)" production.

I will look through the scripts again tonight and try to add a few more that meet the challenge tomorrow.

I added three more potential scripts at the top of this thread.

While they were not specifically written for TimeFest, I think each uses time as a theme.

Some quality work on that site, but unfortunately not a lot of it seems to be done with the low budget 17 year old in mind.

Thanks to Chris, for leeding me to this site, thus finding a brilliant script.

I contacted the writer, and got permission.

He's messing around now, making it fit more into the theme of Time, and adding some characters and such.

The current contest being voted on now is "Teenagers" and all the scripts can only have characters between the ages of 13 and 19. So, check back in a few weeks when the voting is done.

Chris,

email me at rcomo@waterandoil-productions.com

The writer changed it around wickedly!!! Trying to involve the theme of time more recognizable.

Austin posted the rewrite over at MoviePoet.com, so I was able to check it out.

I'm glad you two were able to get together. I'm sure the film will turn out great.

You need to look on the original script page: http://www.moviepoet.com/script.aspx?scriptid=240

Now, click on the date next to the word Rewrite.

So far, I think 3 MoviePoet.com scripts have gone into production; "Time in a Bottle", "The Small Multiple", and "A Date with Jessica".

There are still hundreds more on the site. If anyone is still looking for one, let me know, and I'd be happy to help you try and find one that meets your needs.
