hey bud,
I bought mine through B&H....
$6449.99 is the cheapest,American warranty, non graymarket EX1 you will find around....B&H is legit and they are out of Newyork , so no sales tax and you can upgrade to overnight for $70 to get it to you the next day!
good luck!

well the way it works is sony gives you one memory card physicaly in the box when you purchase the camera, then you get a rebate to send in to recieve the second 8gb card from them through the mail....
so when all is said and done you would be effectively working with two 8gb cards.

How many minutes of footage can you put on a 8gb card?

out of the box I am able to average 25-28min of FULL 1080 24P footage on one card.
if you go with 720 24P i think you get about 9 min more of footage so around 35....but I have heard other people who are gettin like around 20-25 of FUll 1080 24P footage, so it depends...if you look on sony's website at the EX1 page it gives you a page that has the specs on the SxS capacity ratings.
