We're thinking of doing this. We're 99% going to be non-compete due to a technicality and our desire to not worry about prizes or anything this fest.

The piece is likely to be more of an eye candy piece. Utilizing the unique landscape, etc. here.

We're still hashing out the story. We've got the basic idea fleshed out.

This will be starring locals here in Indonesia. It will be Indonesian language and english subtitled, or with no dialog at all.

Cast:
Kunawi
Gabriela Velda

Written by:
Jason E. Ramsey & R.L. Jackson

Director of Photography:
Jason E. Ramsey

Technical Director:
R. L. Jackson

More details to come. This will be shot about two to three weeks from now as it will be shot in country in several different locations over two days.

Later,
Jason

I loved the honesty your Love Fest brought to the table. To say I'm looking forward to viewing this entry is a huge understatement. Good Luck and safe travels sir.

I'm thinking this one will have plenty of room for fairly extensive sound design :).... I need to talk to you about score.... Have an idea. Don't know if it's up your alley or not.

Hey Jason.

I don't understand the details of your flight to the far east, whether it be witness protection or what, but I think you are super smart to take advantage and shoot something there.

Looking forward to it!

heh, heh. Mark, mostly just a working vacation for me :) It's the wife's first time back home in like four years since she came to the states originally to go to school. So, she's visiting her family and all. I'm just along for the ride, and I brought my buddy who acted in Remember When along for the ride with me.... Someone else who speaks english :)

Wide range of scenery here. From way over-populated city life with insane traffic, to just the most serene landscapes with stepped tea plantations carved into the mountains/volcanoes, etc... It's really gorgeous when you get out away from the cities. We're going to try to film a lot in places like that. Also a place that has a flower garden and fruit trees, and tree houses, and in my wife's town that she is from, about three hours from Jakarta where we are staying.

Don't know that our story will be award winning or anything, but we just want to take advantage of the landscape and film a one man journey kinda piece starring our driver :)

Ahhhh that makes sense now. I didn't know your wife was from there.

Have a good trip.

heh, heh. Yeah. Sorry. Never got around to filming what I wanted while I was in Indonesia...

Maybe I'll make a silly bts video or something... since that seems to be the trend when I don't actually finish my films for the fests :)

Well I was going back to forgetting it because I was afraid of you swooping in and making us all look bad again.

Ah... I'm a little slow :)

I did think of a little idea last night... I might try and execute it. But, I need to worry about other things right now... Like getting prizes for you guys together :)
