I'm preparing the paperwork for the 8GB SxS card offer/rebate and the instructions are a bit ambiguous about whether they require one or both labels off the box.
There are two identical labels with UPC bar codes.
2 Question to those that got their rebates:
Did you recover the ENTIRE label, ie., the wrap around the corner including the larger part of the label at left, or just the UPC bar codes on the right third of the label?
Did you remove both labels and send them both in with the rebate form, or just one of the two labels?
Would appreciate hearing what Sony accepted and honored. Thanks!

I am just curious. How long does the average EX1 owner take to recieve the rebate 8GB card from Sony from the day they mail the rebate?

I sent in just the part with the UPC bar codes from one label.
It took about three and a half weeks to get mine, but I have heard that other people have received theirs faster.

So that means I don't have to cut/peel the entire label, around the corner of the box and send the whole label in? Just the 1/3 facing the end of the box with the bar codes only, is that what you did?

That's all I did - and I got the rebate - the part with the serial number. Your results may vary. That's a very erratic bunch, the company they've contracted to handle the rebates.

Okay, then plan is to cut out the bar code side and make a copy of the receipt.
The sign up for the rebate online talks about a copy of the bar code also being acceptable. Lots of confusing information on Sony's rebate site.
Anyway, since the cam's going to Sony service on Monday, I need to get all barcodes, stickers and what not off the box this weekend.
Thanks for the advice on what they've been accepting for this rebate.
BTW, how many weeks, in actuality, did they take to send your SxS card?
