Hey guys.

Just wanted to show some material of a new film project I'm producing.
We're all young (22-26) and beginning filmmakers from Amsterdam, The Netherlands and this is our debut feature film.
It's in Dutch and situated in the Amsterdam of the sixties (1965-66). We're filming it in black&white, it looks amazing.
I'm producing for the first time (actually being a writer/director).
My friend who penned the 90 page screenplay is doing a 'Soderbergh' (directing and lensing the flick).
Very interesting to experience the entire filmmaking process from a producing point of view.

Anyway, hereby I would like to show you guys some pictures from day II of our shoot.
We're really only a couple of motivated guys trying to make a feature,
and maybe attempting to shock their country's tiny filmindustry by making the first indepedent film with a heart
and shot on solid state SxS cards (no more tape, no more film!).
The aim is to stay under 15.000 euros ($ 25.000).

Besides the film all of us work in the filmindustry or are still in school.
The goal is to film 30 days or more in the next 4 months (whenever location, cast/crew are available)
(Christopher Nolan's Following weekend method kinda...)

I hope to post some screenshots tonight.
Maybe later in the week some footage in .mov

I just wanted to say I'm a big fan and user of the DVX100-B,
but ever since seeing the new Sony XDCAM EX live in action it was love at first sight.
Gosh, this camera (with 35mm adaptor Red Rock and lenses) does some miracle work.... Check it out.

Great stuff. It is so inspiring to see you guys actually out there doing it.

You have to post some clips once you get a sequence cut together.

I hope that your film turns out well!

Columnbine, choose some stills if you have time. You have my blessing. Sorry man, I don't have fcp 2 argh!! Why is it not backwards compatible!?
I would suggest a driving shot phillip garrel style (the one where she looks in the camera) and Rogier lighting the sig.

could you please do this? See you when I get back
