DIY DOF Adapter advice

I'm considering building a DIY 35mm DOF adapter using the plans/parts shown here:

I'm wondering if users have any experience with these plans/parts, or if there is a thread that someone might point me towards that has information about it.

go for it. daniel's tutorial is a really good one and will give you a good DIY adapter. i actually replaced my asian tube adapter with the EOS tubes he suggests and his measurements were invaluable. By all means go for it.
