i've been filming a while with the white balance on B. it came out of the box on B, and it's remained on B. never once have i put it on A, or pressed the AWB button... until tonight. i did a search for white balance, but the first page of threads didn't have much to say about it. thus, i feel embarrassed asking about white balance, but i need to know. while it's been on B this whole time, almost all of my interior shots have been a warm-orange color. it always bothered me, but i never questioned it. tonight i read page 41 of the manual and it said to push the AWB button and the white balance will properly adjust itself. i pushed the button (while still on B) and now, the room that has been this warm-orange is almost the opposite, a cold-blue. i switch it down to A for the very first time and it looked PERFECT. the way i've been wanting it to look. B though, is now blue instead of orange. basically my question is... what is going on? what SHOULD i be doing? any help would be GREATLY appreciated! thanks!

A and B are for manual Balance, AWB (Auto white Balance) is just that.

So what is the difference between A and B?

There is none.

You whithe balance on "A" (holding a balance card in front of the camera and bush the balance button under the lens).

For a different shot or light setup you do thes same on "B"

If yu want the camera for some reason to remember your prvious balance settings you switch back to "A"

So A and B are only two "memorys" for balance.

Hope that helps,
