I'd like to thank Maxim from Aerialsfilm for hosting this clip.

A quick sample of the Arizona Renaissance festival.
This came from a longer clip, including belly dancers :)
I'll try to get a downrezzed file up.

If you do not have VideoLan, get it now!
It's free media player and it blows away everything else.
It works great with m2t files.

Hey Stevet, this clip looks really good in full 1080p!!!, I wonder if you could post your settings, and also: did you use a 35mm adapter?, did you color-corrected it?

I'm not 100% sure of the camera settings at that time.
I believe I was using Cine1 with HISAT, black -3.

No 35mm adapter.

I used Magic Bullet to colorize.

Do you have the raw? I wanna see it without Magic Bullet, etc.

Can you not get this kinda color in camera?

This clip looks VERY nice man. So clean and noise free. -

Thanks Kholi.

I'll have to hunt it down.

I image you could probably come close to this look adjusting the EX1 picture profiles.
I have not tried this. Normally, I try to capture as accurate colors as possible, but I should experiment with different internal looks.

The magic bullet setting really helps mute the video blue and warms the overall look.

Most of the magic bullet presets are way over done but offer a great scratch pad for creating your own looks.

Thanks Steve. If you could post some Raw stuff up that'd be fantastic. Also, where can I find the EX-1 software to play with raw samples in FCP?

Kholi, I'll find some raw stuff.

I'm using a PC (LOL). Sony Vegas 8.0b

I believe Elton has used the files with FCP.

Elton, do you have the link for the Sony software for use with FCP?

I don't have the Sony XDCAM software for the Mac, if that's what you're referring to. I've been able to play the raw mp4's from the camera with VLC, however.

I thought you could import the raw mp4's from the EX-1 with FCP 6.0.2?

Thank Elton.

Hey, I found this Sony link. It may be of help.

can I reach such quality with my A1 ?
especially the colors

The Canon A1 is a decent camera. The EX1 has more resolution, but I've seen stuff shot on the A1 that looks really good. I thought about picking one of these up and using it as a "B" camera.

I imagine if you went for a color correct image and pumped it into something like Magic Bullet, you could come real close to that look. I usually use MB and grab one of their templates and tweak it.
I find the default MB settings are way overboard, you have to tweak them.

This looks just like RED ONE footage. No Joke. So clean!
