I'm still debating on if I want to do In Light of The moment...
I just feel bad for John. If I don't end up doing it, I'll see if someone else wants to complete it for the fest.
I had another idea though, in the horror route.
If someone wants to PM me, I'll tell you the idea, and maybe you can give me a basic synopsis, or any ideas you can think of after I tell you the gist of it.
Thanks,
Robbie

Robbie, just do it. It will give you extra practice making short, worst case... and a little experience with directing. As long as it isn't costing much money, you really have nothing to lose. I know Kegan can't direct it, but you'll do fine, I'm sure. :)

yeah dude: what Tom said. Don't doubt yourself man. Filmmaking is a process and you learn so much just from taking one project from idea to completion. You'll learn alot just from having to shoulder this project yourself, more than any books or classes will teach you, so that by itself is worth it.
You have some good ideas and I;m sure you'll do a great job with the project, so get in gear dude.
Besides, we need the Como in the fest.

Yeah com'n challenge yourself and see what you can do! Give John's story 110% and see what happens. You telling me there are NO other film people in Toronto that you could hook up with to help out on this? Oh we will find you people in Toronto...

Good to hear - but seriously dont worry about whether the script "works for you" or not. Producing/directing things that may not be your style only makes you better and more well rounded.

Dood. What the heck do you "need help" with and what are the "circumstances" and why are you "sorry" for Jon?
I'm guessing, based on nothing you've said, but it seems like Kegan can't direct and you're not sure Labonney's timefest idea or script works for you?
So do you just need script ideas now? A new leather jacket? An unopened box of post toasties? What?
Pretend we have no idea what you are talking about and start over :D

We might be able to do Corn Flakes. But Fur Coat AND Special K is pushing it.
We can do fur coat and Corn Flakes or
Special Key by itself.
We expect an answer by the close of business today.

I just want to have a superb story, and script.
I'm in for Timefest, but I'm just not sure the story I have now is up for par.
I don't really care about the winning, as I just want to get my ass up and make a sick movie!
So right now, I have NOTHING, except for a neat little idea for a horror, and it does involve time.
That's my dilemma.

we can do corn flakes jack. I'll need verification on the fur coat - waiting to see that Luis C is still alive and that you didnt turn him into a fur coat. We dont want no wookie coat.
wait so your problem is that you have an idea and a strong desire to make a film out of it and the equipment to do so? well go start writing!

I don't think the line "TIME TO DIE!" qualifies man

First page of my new idea is done.
If you want to see it, and give me any thoughts, please PM me for it!
Here is the Poster that I made for it...If I can get more ideas on this script, I'll make a thread in the section!

Hey Como, I feel that I can relate to your situation. I don't like putting time into a project that I don't "feel" or have a passion for.
However, this was a really great comment....
Good to hear - but seriously dont worry about whether the script "works for you" or not. Producing/directing things that may not be your style only makes you better and more well rounded.
Very insightful.
Best of luck on your decision. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Personally I would disagree. Unless you just need practice and want something to do I would recommend working on something you really care about. When you work on a project you care about you tend to do a much better job. If you don't care about a project, don't think it's any good or don't think it will be any good, or just don't really want to work on it, then you'll tend to not do a good job on it. It's subconscious too. It will just end up not being good. Of course, that may just be my personal opinion and personal experience. My suggestion is to come up with an idea you really care about and continue writing and rewriting it until you're really passionate about what you've written and really feel it "needs" to be made. That's what I do... but like I said, it may just be me.

When you work with Como, you wake up under a bus.
