Wild Imagination Films is in again. The maelstrom of ideas is bound to rain down something interesting this go 'round. Going to see if I can't redeem myself and produce something everyone will understand. Whole new plan for pre-submission, have people watch it who have had nothing to do with it at all. If they get it...great! If not...back to the edit bay.

Tagline- Punctuality is everything.
I have an idea for you Will. It's about a good hearted texan sending his GSXR750 to a Auzzie kid - oh, and there's a timebomb. Done.

I think its great that you are entering this fest. I really hoped that you would. I know Lovefest was a bit of a bumpy ride for your film and it shows quite a bit of commitment and character that you are ready to go again. You're definitely the type of filmmaker I would like to work with.
cheers

Thanks for the welcome back. Lovefest was a little bumpy but an incredible learning experience.
I'm trying to think of something a little left of center. Obviously making or keeping an appointment would be the reference to time and the clock/ watch/ sundial aspect is easily incorporated. The idea this go 'round is to make the story interesting right to the last. So I don't think I'll be doing lots of exposition. Quicker pace. More about the choice of shots and the emotion I can get out of each one. I plan to steal from just about every director I like and then weave a brutal image. I've climbed out of the box and I think the results will speak for themselves. The only problem now is how many entries can I get done before the deadline?

I've climbed out of the box...
Hey Will, as I've stated before your work is always original.
I hope that you don't lose the passion that has always been present in your films!
Good luck! Don't stray too far from your convictions!

You know Ted, the creative process for me is like an onion. Each layer of discovery leads to another layer of discovery and to another and another. When I say I've climbed out of the box, it means I'm no longer going to restrict my mind or my creativity out of fear of failure or the desire to please others. I have had an epiphany and now understand why I became a maker of films.
Look for my work to be much different in the future in how they will, from now on, reflect the contents of my imagination and my heart.
Whether beautiful or ugly, from now on my work will be true to my vision.
On this project, I have completed my script and my storyboards. Trying to figure out the most interesting way to present the information. Don't want to give too much away at this point as I've a lot to get done.
More soon.....

The appointment will be an experimental film regarding how it is shot, edited, and finally presented. Don't expect anything really '60s acid trip, just some fun had with the camera and it's capabilities.
Once again, the effects are going to be practical. There will be color correction and a host of editing devices employed, but no green screen or CGI.
Best wishes to all who are entering the contest.

He said something about wanting a bigger monitor for the computer.... now I know it's just because he has to make the text larger....
Hope you're having a good one Will!

Yes, to all you jokesters, I turned 41 today. No I don't need a bigger monitor to make the text bigger, I need a bigger monitor because my films are becoming ever more epic and sweeping. (hard to sweep across a 17inch display. you get to swe and then you're there.)

The Appointment is going to be a very short film. Quick and dirty. I woke up this morning and I had pretty much envisioned the whole thing while I slept and now all I have to do is go shoot it.
I'm going minimalist on this one. No lights, no jib, no big crew, no big effects. It is going to be all about how absolutely "correctly" I can do it. Audio is getting a huge amount of attention this go 'round.
If everything works out then this project will have the 5.1 sound track and all manner of aurally interesting bits.
I'm also going to try to make it as short as possible without losing the pacing.
Grabs and such soon.

I did some location scouting and have several of them now found. I'm totally chillin on this project and it is soooo much better than being all stressed like last time. Just playing with the edits of the snippets I've already shot. Taking my time and mentally framing the ones I haven't shot yet. So far, this project is at zero on the stress meter.
