Hi all,
shortly the story:
Received 20 betcam SP from Japan in Ntsc that were copies from HDCam and HDV, but the facilitiy did everything wrong: 4:3 ratio and SP...not even digibeta 16:9. Told client to ask for copies SAME TC of those betas in HDCam or at least the didgibeta and he did forwarding my email, but he was on hurry to have an edited version whatever was the format. Spent all Christmas holidays and NYEve...OK
He was happy with that edit and asked me for a final online when the HD tapes arrive. They arrived yesterday, rented a Sony HDW-M200P, first 7 tapes were digitezed flawlessly, but then the surprise: the other 10 or so had different TC form Betas.....!!!
Basically what they did was to copy the video/audio but changing the TC so that tape GA3 starts from 3 h, and G4 at 4h....instead of just copy the original TC...may be they did same error first time with Betas....
Now I'd lke to change the TC in and OUT of each offline clip in FCP 6 ( GA3 has 06:10f difference from the original TC of the Beta)
If I do it in the browser or in the Item Properties window it takes ages for each input, rolling wheel for minutes.
Do you know if there is any way to text edit those TC outside FCP?
I've tried with XML but no luck no chance to change the TC of each clip.
I can't think of a different way of doing it !
