I like so many others seem to have a problem getting P2 files to import properly. Here is my setup...
32gig card
camera OS 4.06
720/24PN
device connect 1394
G4 twin 1.25 cpu's
2 gig ram
FCP 5.0.1
Trying to use P2 import. Tried RAYLIGHT, just hung up would not work. I have installed all P2 drivers from disk that came with camera, downloaded any driver I could find a thread about, still no good. I was under the belief that FCP 5.0.1 was the starting point for P2 users, am I wrong?
I maybe accused of the dreaded drag and drop, but there doesn't seem to be any other way at this point of getting footage onto computer. Have tried using camera direct and not have any new folder created, no good. Create new folder drag and drop into folder, no good. Card is write protected when I attempt any of the above procedures. Sure was easier when I used the FS100, plug and play, literally. If I have to upgrade my FCP then please can some tell me to what version?:kali:
P.S I think it unfair that you PC users get the gravy. I am seriously thinking of switching back, with drawl symptoms can be.. oh my gooooooooooood oh my gooooooood, the spiders get them off meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
