View Full Version : Inherited a Mattebox, but no standard adaptor ring to fit what do I do?

My dad gave me his old chrosziel mattebox with a ton of filters, and it's 104mm and my camera is the hvx with 82mm. Since it isn't the new 16x9 mattebox I don't think there is a standard adaptor ring for the combination that I can find on B&H. Both of the large camera stores near me don't deal with chrosziel. So is there some website I can go to, to order an adaptor ring for this combination?

Hey Patrick,
Most MB's have a rear inner diameter of 104mm. You can buy just about any adapter from any company as long as it is 104x82. Call Terry at the DVshop in TO and see if he has any Cavision adapters still in stock.

OH sorry he doesn't ship to the US. B&H should have the ring you need. If you can't see it on the website just call them. Also check the sites monkeyking mentioned.
