in the close ups, I had to add a TAD of diffusion (in post) to take out some of the wrinkles ... The detail in this camera is friggin' outstanding.

5 bucks to anyone who can guess the song he's covering (while in front of the blue backdrop) : )

Beautifull footage guys! We're noticing the same challenge...The picture is SO sharp we're having to pay much more attention to make-up and lighting. Those skin imperfections are now so obvious. I haven't yet played around with any detail settings to help out. You fixed it in post!

Was detail set to ON in camera for this sequence?

My bad...I didn't check...But I'll bet it was. I'm just getting used to all the many many ways to tweak this camera. I know a bunch of folks on this site are posting Picture Profile settings they use in various shooting situations. That ought be really useful.

Great lipreading!

Just an audio engineering note: The usual ugly pop/blast screen is missing. Something that only studio types would miss.

trust me, i took the audio out for a reason ... he had nothing interesting to say. plus, for the singing, he was just lip syncing so it kind of seemed pointless, being that the playback was blaring :)
