Setting black balance -- do I need "black" card?

Just got my HVX. Of course we all know how to set white balance. Manual says I need to set black balance by continuing to hold the AWB button. Do you set black balance with the camera focused on a white card or a black card or does it matter? Thanks!

No, if you hold the AWB the camera will just close the iris and balance to black on the chips.
