has anyone found any good tutorial sites that would help me make my 35mm adapter?

I found these if you like
http://www.jetsetmodels.info/tutorials.htm

http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/dof/index.htm

it doesn't seem very hard to make so I'm thinking of making one
but I think the biggest problem is the achromatic lens....

so can anyone tell me what kind of achromatic lens you used?
I've heard using the binocular lens is one way, and using a close up lens(+10) is another way.
I think the quality will really show on what kind of achromatic lens you use so I want it to be good. (the ground glass is nothing)

I also want to know if I use the binocular lens or the close up lens, would it be good in HD?
did anyone made one for HD cameras? (so will the binocular lens or close up lens show enought detail for HD????)

anyway, any kind of info would help
thanks

The achromat you use is basically the desiding factor in the quality of your adapter. A focusing screen (canon or nikon) will be your best bet for GG.

try to get the Nikon D screen.. its has much better edge to edge sharpness and a lot less vignetting.

for the achromat, i startd out with the cheap Asian macros, but they have problems with vignetting and lots of abberaton, especially on the wider lenses. I ended up saving up and investing in the 72mm achromat from Cinevate since it was designed especially for 35mm adapters.

thanks for the info.
yeah, I was thinking of just getting a achromat lens from Redrock or Cinevate since it's the most important parts.

any tutorial sites?

daniel's site has got one of the best tutorials. Snodart has a decent video tutorial as well. are you using the cheap asian spacer tubes? or one of the EOS macro tubes?

I'm not sure yet.
I might buy the macro tubes but since my camera is a DVX100, the lens is big so I might just get a black tube from home depot and make it
but I'm not sure...

Hey! by the way, I really liked your tutorial on how you made the FFF!!
it was amazing!!
I think I will make that follow focus as well!!
