Two of the 5 roles have been casted.
February 27th:
Temporary poster uploaded.
Updated Cast & Crew roster
February 29th:
First production meeting. A wookiee spy among us trying to steal the super secret plans to our time machine. Silly wookiee, there is no time machine :P
We have a great group of people working together to make this project happen and I am really excited to get started.
March 2nd:
Uploaded new poster!
March 11th:
Secured two of our locations.
Reserved audition space for April.
April 11th:
Casting call went very well. We started out with over 100 emails and narrowed it down to 30 potentials, from those 30 only about 1/3 of them actually made it to the auditions but it worked out well because it seemed that we had quality over quantity and thats the important thing.
Cast list updated.
Cast photos added, more to come.
Poster Headline updated with Tom Elia, our lead.
April 13th:
Uploaded grabs from the casting call.

Hey Matthew, best of luck on your film. I like that title! It caught my attention the other day and I thought that I had posted a comment on it but as I read through your thread, I guess I never did!
Anyway... I am always happy to see a Film Noir in the fest!
Looks like a good size crew there! And I see that you compose music as well. Very cool.
Best of luck to you!

Thanks Ted. We happen to have the benefit of already having a wonderful crew formed for "Trend", a feature we are shooting later this year. This is a great opportunity for our team to geat used to working together on a project before we start rolling cameras on that.
I would have no chance of doing either of these projects without the help from our talented team.
I hope to not disappoint in the music department. Atleast I will have the musical talent of Drew and Jason by my side if I run into a snag.

Did Damon and Witherspoon get back to you about their cameos Matt?
Matthew R. Rodwell
03-03-2008, 08:02 AM
Well Reese still owes me one but I haven't made up my mind on cashing in that favor. Damon is still in Europe, he said he would try to make it out but if not we could use Affleck. I am just worried that guy is going to turn this into another Raindeer Games so I haven't returned his calls.

I think I'm going to shoot my own entry as well... nothing ambitious: something minimalist using my wife's pv gs-180, my kids as the acting talent, and maybe I'll edit it in Windows Moviemaker. Lol! Probably be shooting it on a weeknight just for kicks.
Matthew R. Rodwell
03-03-2008, 10:40 AM
Awesome Mikey. Let me know if you need any help on it. I think its great that our whole team including one of our actors is submitting an entry :D

Thanks... will do! BTW, my banner upload is still telling me the file size is too large. Did you add yours as a url or uploaded from your comp? Anyone else reading this have any suggestions? I'm trying to add the 'Three Night Stay' Sig banner like Matt's here but it's telling me the remote file is too large.

I used the member upload function and uploaded it but it was a little large so Drew resized it and sent me the link (he also uploaded from the member upload center)

Sore subject, I really don't want to discuss the cost. Keep in mind that it was my understanding it was one of a kind.
Looks like we won't be getting Damon now due to budget restrictions...

We just finished up our casting call so expect to see the cast list updated soon. We didn't have near the turn out I was expecting based off the emails but all of the actors I was really hoping to have read showed up and far exceeded my expectations. I still have to narrow down a couple more choices before I lock our cast but as soon as I do we will have the list updated along with headshots.

It is unfortunate for me to say but this project will be delayed until further notice. My recent move has been consuming alot more time and money then expected and I do not want to do a rush job on this project and have it turn out sloppy.
We are still going to complete this project but it will not be in time for TimeFest. Most likely it will be later this Summer.
Thank you for all of those who followed the thread.
