Poo - Bums - and Drat.
Guys, my apologies, but I must gracefully back away from the time fest.
Thats two in a row that have fallen through for me.

I still plan to make this film, and will shout to the board when it eventually happens, but logistically, it just hasn't come together for me.

Good luck to you all, I look forward to seeing all your films.

Cheers

I must bow out... My script is ready for production, but nothing else is. Hopefully the theme of the next fest will work for my script - if not, I'll be producing it sometime this summer anyway.

Good luck everyone.

It would be interesting to see an updated list and see how many of the 129 entrants are actually participating.

I feel like I am a Presidential Candidate. Trying to decide whether I should drop out or not. Now is not the time, there is still a chance! I am planning on filming tomorrow and Sunday. Wow, sorry, that was off topic. I, too, would like to see who is currently in.

You should be fine. You still have 2 weeks to do it. I almost finish my movie so I'm definitely in this time.

Well, the team is coming over today and tomorrow to film it. As long as our composer can get it done, we should be fine.

Hi, I found out about this "nice place on the web" called DiVxUser only 1 week ago, but we (me and my friend) decided to make a movie, it will be our first movie ever, no crew just other 2 friend playing their roles, and me and my friend, and no budget.

Title: 6 hrs

Some news about the upload ?

Sorry guys, had to back out. I was centering my short film around a particular actress, and she just got a new role on Heroes! Awesome for her, sucks for me. Hahaha. Next fest though.

I'm ashamed to say, you'll have to remove me from the list. Won't make it.

Good luck all, look forward to viewing all the entries.

Things aren't looking too good for me. My current cut is 8:30 and getting it down to 6 is looking impossible. UserFilms anyone?

Get someone else you trust to do it for you. Seriously. They'll have the objectiveness to realize how to lose those 2:30. Then make your 8:30 cut the 'Director's Cut' :-)

Considering that it's shot, edited, and off for score and sound design, i think we'll go ahead and enter. :)

1. Just hang around the timefest forum, there will be an announcement and it'll be in a yellow sticky thread.

2. Create a jpg or gif or whatever that is 569x70, upload it to dvxuser using the "member upload center" (top center of page) and copy and paste the code it gives you into the "edit signature" under User CP (top right of page). We all make our own banners.

PM me if you need more help.

So looks like I have to pull my entry for The Other Room. It has a bit of a budget that I can't manage right now, since we just had our first baby 3 weeks ago, plus my schedule is now all shot to hell. So looks like The Other Room won't make this festival....

HOWEVER: we did just come up with a new idea yesterday and hammered out the script today. So now I'll be entering our new movie "Act II".

If anybody's interested, I've got a script I just wrote called 'Timestamp'. It could be shot in a single day.

1 location (1 room)
1 on-camera speaking role (male)
3 feature extras (young females)
2 voiceover speaking roles (any gender)

Extremely simple. The most difficult prop would be some big stacks of money. (Fake, of course. Could even use stuffed white sacks with dollar signs painted on them.) Dialog for the main character is mostly voiceover, so memorization would be at a minimum.

Whaddaya say???

Simon, when you have time you can update our listing with our title: O2

And when you do that you can also, sadly, place me in the dropouts area . I have unfortunately had to respectfully bow ouot of this fest for a number of reasons which are explained in my most recent post in my thread (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showpost.php?p=1299764&postcount=64).

Thank you everyone for your support and I look forward to all of your great entries.

Since this fest was announced about 4 months ago, I've been fortunate enough to be working so much that my head is about to explode, unfortunately I have to step out of the fest as a result. I will still produce the 6 page script I wrote, but it will have to be another TIME.

Good luck to everyone else.

I'm sad and disappointed too. The script I wanted to shoot for this fest would have been a contender, but that's moot now.

It is sad for us to go. I tried hard, but things happen. Next fest for sure, I will be much more prepared. I am at least glad that I was able to participate in this fest by way of writing scripts for two of the entries. Best of luck all!
