Well, my HVX arrived today. I'm excited and there's a pit in my stomach because I have to pay for it! I forgot how much bigger it was than the DVX. New set of sticks is probably in order. I have to compliment the physical presentation of the Barry book -- spiral binder, sturdy semi-laminated pages -- designed to hold up to lots of frantic on-location abusive thumbing. Even though the HVX is an incredible bargain, $5K (plus an extra $1K+ 16gb card and century optics WA adapter) is still a lot of money in 2008. Gulp. I will put it to good work. I have to. Or I will be in trouble.
