Hi all,

I was trying to copy a VHS tape to a mini DV tape through the HVX, is this possible? I am coming out of the VCR player through a scart to jack adapter then into the HVX via the red, white and yellow jack connectors,

I put it in VCR mode but there is no picture? not sure if its even possible to do but if it is.......please enlighten me,

Thanks in advance

Check your owner's manual/operating instructions. In my manual, it's on page 89, and simple to follow.

good luck.

I haven't tried it (heck, I don't even use the HVX tape mechanism), but I suspect that if the VHS tape is a commercial one, it won't work...

Take out the tape, and connect the firewire to a PC, and use your capture software.

All sorted......worked fine,

Just ran the VHS player through my TV then came out of the TV jacks into the HVX, pressed the record buttons on the top of the camera and just like HVX magic........it worked, another handy thing that the supreme HVX can do, I love my camera!!!!
