Hi, searched for this and didn't find anything. I used Barry's crystal clear offload procedure to get footage dumped onto my G4 Desktop. The dump procedure seems to be seamless, but I'm unable verify the footage using the P2CMS program. When I click on a thumbnail to preview it, all I get is a white screen with the audio playing over.

I do not have any editing software on this machine, but it was my understanding that this program would allow verifying without one. Am I missing a codec? Do I need FCP to verify the footage?

Any help would be much appreciated as I am dumping an entire days worth of shooting and I'm too afraid to erase it off the 16gig cards without verifying it, but I can't resume shooting if I don't. Thanks so much.

Have you installed the latest video drivers and P2CMS (http://panasonic.sixbullets.net/#utilities) version? Does it meet the minimum system requirements?

Mac P2CMS can't show high-def clips unless FCP's DVCPRO-HD components are installed.

Wow.. so I guess I'm flying blind for a bit. Well I guess until I can pick up final cut pro, I will brave the unknown and dump the footage without verifying it. Thanks so much guys for the quick response.

Do you know if there are any free mac programs that I could use to verify these files?

Well, "verify" as in - be able to watch them? No.

But "verify" as in, while it copies to the hard disk it goes back and verifies that the copy was successfully done? That's what P2CMS does. At least, you can configure it to work that way.
