Just wanted to say that this fest has been killer, and I learned so much thanks to everyone here.

Because of DVXuser, I will enter every next fest you guys offer.

May the best film win!

Yes good luck to everyone! I'm excited to actually be able to "plan" and have a budget for my next film and not have it thrown together at the last minute :)

Jeez, you did Sweethear last minute? I don't even want to see what you can do with more time!

Your film was great man.

Wheres the winners!

planning is always good. I actually plan to have a small crew for next one, so I guess I gotta put my budget and schedule together as soon as I get a script. This time around I think I'm going to get finished early enough so I can get critique from other pros, and tweak it in the right places so it's a lot more polished.

Oh and my new Nikon D focusing screen just arrived 20 minutes ago...

edit: oh yeah: and good luck guys, it's been a blast watching all of these cool films from people who are MAKING movies as opposed to just TALKING about making them.

Yeah I got the idea for it on a Friday during work and called my grandparents that day to ask them about doing it. I was partying that night and Saturday as it was my birthday weekend and I shot it on Sunday (extremely hungover) as my Grandparents were going out of town on Monday. I went in with no quesitons in mind other than I wanted to hear their story and had about 2 hours to light and shoot the whole thing.

We seem to do extremely well with last minute ideas, I mean take a look at the Fairgreen video, I didn't know what we were shooting or even a story until we showed up on set.

All I can say is this is all in preperation for the 48 hour film project this year since we're doing 2 of them :D
