LoveFest 2008 Voting

Voting for LoveFest 2008 is open from now until next Sunday night (February 24) at midnight Pacific Time.

How do I vote?

Using our new automated system (thanks Larry!) you'll vote for your top 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices for best film. Log into the voting system with your regular dvxuser.com username and password. You must vote for three different films for your vote to be counted and you may vote for your own film. All votes are kept completely confidential. The voting link is:

(Note: There is a known bug in the system that causes some users to be told they don't have the requisite 100 posts in order to vote when in reality they do have. It is being resolved, but in the meantime if you PM Larry R he will fix your account so you can vote. -- Thanks for your patience)

How are the votes tallied?

Points are awarded to each film as follows:

1st place vote -- 3 points
2nd place vote -- 2 points
3rd place vote -- 1 point

Who is qualified to vote?

All users with at least 100 posts are eligible to vote. The submitting filmmaker is also allowed to vote regardless of post count. This rule exemption is only allowed for one submitting filmmaker per production team.

Note that the initial login takes a moment as the voting system has to query the main DVXuser server to confirm your password, etc...

Subsequent logins are faster.

Everyone on your team with 100 posts can vote--just like everyone else. An exception to the 100 post rule is made for ONE submitting filmmaker.

Im having no luck logging in. I got 2 emails saying my account was locked because someone tried to log in with the wrong password.
I logged out of dvxuser and was able to log back in but can not log into vote.

It should just be your dvxusername and your dvxuser password. Exactly what you would use to login on dvxuser is exactly what you would use to log into the voting page.

If you are certain that you are entering the correct information, probably better send Larry R a pm or report it here, so he can figure out why the system is not recognizing some folks.

Regarding the issue of less than 100 posts, but having an entry ... I forgot to add that condition to the system. I'll add it shortly. I'll post a note here when its done, so keep an eye out here.

To paste them in your sig with a link to this thread ...
hit the quote button onthis post,
then right click either of the above banners,
select copy,
close the current window by going to your control panel to edit your sig
then paste the banner in your sig.Follow those steps and it will carry the link code that way. If you just copy the banners from above without quoting first it will just carry the image.
