My friend Tony is now looking for a camera under $300, he is now looking at these two:
Sony DSC-W200 $250 (http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/item/features/495385689?AID=10273773&PID=1680882)
Olympus Stylus 1200 $230 (http://www.dealstudio.com/searchdeals.php?deal_id=83201&ru=282)
Both of them looks nice, we can't decide which one is better, any comments please??

well first off, I am guessing this is going to be for still photo purposes right?
If so, you may will definitely want to post this in the still photography section! Those guys REALLY know what they are talking about! Now i dont know much about still cameras, actually i know almost nothing but i have heard that this is a decent camera and it is around that price range.

I had been looking for a still camera for my girlfriend for awhile. I just picked up a Panasonic DMC-FZ8, after reading tons of reviews on cameras in that price range. I like this camera. For the money it's pretty sweet. I'm going to get another for myself. B&H Photo has them for $229.

I'd go with the Sony, for that price range. Personally, I like Canon glass better, but that's just personal preference. What is your friend going to be using it for? I assume just taking snapshots of events/friend hangouts etc? Check out the Canon Elph series too.
