View Full Version : How many ya gonna watch?

By my count we'll end up with just under 50 submissions. At 6 minutes a pop that's 5 hours worth of viewing.

Sooooo, how many ya gonna watch.

I'm kinda bumming that I started my film with a "T". Afraid people will get too exhausted/numb by somewhere around "M". Any thoughts on improving viewer ship?

Every last one of them, of course :)

If someone plans on voting they can't really honestly do so without watching every film.
So, this was never really a question in my mind - I'm watching all of them.

of course, though i feel for you fellas down at the bottom, because its natural behavior to go in order, as not to confuse our feeble little minds. I would only hope people don't get bored by the G's. Again good luck to all.

EDIT- oh yeah i'm watching em all too...of course

So when did "honesty" have anything to do with voting????

Definitely will be watching ALL OF THEM. It's impossible to vote without seeing everything. There's ALWAYS a sleeper out there.

besides, 5hrs over a week? That's nothing when you think about it. 45min-1hr of viewing a night. It's like sitting down to watch an evening primetime show (if you have to do it that way). I tend to watch them in large chunks, if not all in one sitting.

Then, I go back and watch the one's that struck me for one reason or another... I watch those again and start to try to narrow it down from there.

Jason

Why, oh why, didn't I call it "A Wish", or maybe !@#000wish?

[...] start to try to narrow it down from there.

I've already seen a couple as part of distribution testing, and let me say that based on the few I've seen; narrowing them down to the best is not going to be an easy task this round.

Anyone caught voting without having seen them all, will be forced to shack up with Jason for 3 days, or until they have watched every film twice in its entirety under his watchful eye - whichever is longer.

With this many entries, it looks like Johnson will need the BIG bottle of Dewars.

I figured out in the last fest that my laptop screen will hold about 10 films at once. So I watch them in batches.

Good point.
I take it back..I won't be watching them all.

hey, what are the voting eligibility requirements? 100 minimum posts or something?

Mark Harris
02-11-2008, 11:41 AM
that's been the case in the past.

I'm starting at the bottom and viewing in reverse alphabetic order so you''ll be one of the first I see!

I'll try to watch them all, but to be honest if something loses my interest within the first minute I'm not going to hurt myself trying to finish it.

I'm going to watch them all - I have for every fest so far, but this time I'm going to try and comment on all of them as well.

Some of the crew is going to come over and we'll watch batches of them. Though if we watch all of all of them remains to be seen.

I'll be watching all of them this weekend probably.

I try to go in order so it's not biased but I occasionally take a sneak peek at some of the regulars' films.

Yep. Like last fest, we (4 people) try to watch them all on friday evening projected on a 6 ft screen. But I think we are not gonna make it in one session. Hollows fest was already so long.

Too bad it wasn't last weekend. Sunday morning it was -17 degrees outside when I woke up. Would've been perfect weather to sit inside.

Any other Minnesotans in the fest?

Rodney V. Smith

sounds like a good time to haul the old projector out and invite some people over for some beer etc... I'm sure the actor wouldn't mind seeing it on a big screen....

Any other Atlantans here? We could set something up

I'll watch them all eventually but most likely not in time to vote on em, I'm moving and it's pretty crazy don't know if I'll be able to get online for a while, so it won't be until the beer runs out but it will be until I have to unplug for a while.

Darn, I should have selected Just one (Your own) film. hahaha..

Apparently, not one vote in that category yet,
