I've been looking at hard cases to store my EX1 with battery charger, batteries, sxs cards and manuals. What size Pelican/Storm/Kata case works best ? Thanks all!

Does anyone have a hard case or are you using softcases?

I just bought a Storm im-2975 for my EX1, 35mm Adapter, Lenses, Mattebox, Monitor, etc. Should fit everything looking at the configurations on Zacuto.

Yes, I really wanted the im-2975 but I ended up with a im-2500 since I really wanted an airline carry on case that is small and compact (at least at this moment). I'm very sure that my next purchase will be the im-2975 to avoid carrying multiple cases.
I was contemplating the Pelican and Storm case but I ended up in going with the Storm case because of its two to three pounds lighter than the Pelican case. From what I've read, these two brands of cases are both excellent. I went with the lighter one.

I bought the PortaBrace DVO-1U because I wanted a softcase carry-on. Fits everything and then some. And it's still small enough. Doesn't accomodate a laptop though.

Thanks all,
Tim, where on the thermodyne website did you find the ex case? I couldn't really find anything I was looking for on there... does the thermodyne case actually have ex1 inserts already cut out? Thanks for the info
Picked up a Pelican 1650 for cheap on craigslist... where do you all buy foam?

I was looking there, but didn't know if there was a better place to buy from?

They said that the cutout would be completed this week. It is a small attache case. They are also doing the larger cases. You can call them for pricing and when they will be shipping... I hope soon. Tim, SKYPE qwikquoteth

Picked up a Pelican 1650 for $75, probably a bit overkill but should do the job especially if I order a DOF adapter. Any suggested places to buy foam cheaply but reliably?

Abel Cine Tech's EX1 case is available in limited supply now, we had a bunch of pre orders to fulfill. It is a Storm 2720 case with cut outs for camera, mattebox, 2 chargers, 3 batteries, a few cards, and cables.
We should have the pictures on our site tomorrow.
