Finishing a doc on an artist and I would like him to handwrite the title so that I can place it on the DVD cover. Does anyone know the proper way to do this? Black ink? Sharpie? Large handwriting? Small handwriting? What kind of paper, etc. Also, the final text will probably be in yellow, so should I have him sign in yellow?
thanks

I would use a black sharpie on a plain white piece of paper.
Scan at high res. Invert the image (white writing on black).
Convert to smart object and use as a layer mask.

This will give you the most flexibility with scaling, changing the color, compositing, etc.
