When I say it was dark outside, I mean 10 minutes later it was black.
Just my cat in the yard here hunting down something I couldn't see. Its just to show the low light performance. Using the Fujnion 17X7.6BERM.
This was shot with the aperture wide open at about a distance from 15 feet then about 6 feet for the closeup. In Cinelike V no less.
No gain was added here.

That's really cool. Does anyone know how the HPX500 compares with the DVX100 for low-light performance? About same?

What I learnt from forums, 2/3 CCD is more sensitive than 1/3 CCD.
I have both HVX200 and HPX555 (500), the difference is obvious.

HPX500 is more sensitive than the DVX in standard-def, less sensitive in interlaced.

Hey Sotty,
I downloaded the AVI, but can't play it back from my XP machine. Did you use any funky codecs or anything?

Which clip the 720 or 1080?

I noticed with my camera, 720p is slower than 1080/24pA. Weirdness.

Really nice available light footage. One question, is your cat wearing eyeliner?! I swear, the fine quality of the HPX's image continues to amaze me.

LOL. I don't think so this time....however I caught her a few times putting on her makeup before a performance.

I actually tried both. Must be something weird on my machine as doesn't look like anyone else is having problems.

Wonderfull Photos. You can tell its not a very busy season for filmmakers, All I have shot lately was my dog, cat, wife, squirrels and birds at the feeder. I used a Canon SD lens.IF J15ax8b4I RS on the HPX2000,1080x60. This was shot thru a glass door going to the back deck.

Ok, let me try reposting or changing the codec. I was able to play them back on both my XP and Vista, so, I don't know. I'll have it changed shortly.
