After doing a shoot and seeing how terribly bad the backfocus was out of adjustment, I downloaded a chart and watched a video over at 2nd Unit TV. If you guys haven't seen this yet, it's helpful http://www.2nd-unit.tv/

Also, here's a link to DSL Labs charts http://dsclabs.com/resolution.htm

Whats lens are you using Guy.

On a side note. I noticed on the second unit tv site they had an interview with Garret Brown. I have to say personally from my own email correspondence with the man himself, he is a legend and not above anything. I wish everyone was so willing to help others. This is why I will support steadicam and steadicam(tm) ops whenever I can - simply because he stands behind every unit that ships - literally.

We're testing the Canon KJ16x7.7B-KRSD

BTW,

Awhile back when the Merlin was introduced, I had a chance to interview Garrett Brown. Like you say, he's definitely a great guy - and a legend. check out his IMDB details (http://imdb.com/name/nm0113593/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnxteD0yMHxsbT01MDB8dHQ9b258ZmI9dXxwbj 0wfHE9Z2FycmV0dCBicm93bnxodG1sPTF8bm09b24_;fc=1;ft =20;fm=1).
