For commercial, I always record at 24P (pulldown to 29.97).
Scene file is your taste, but try gamma B.Press and matrix cinelike for rich colors.
Film or Video in camera just change the units . display info.
I prefer to shot as flat as possible (zero pedestal, etc) and color correct the image in Post.
