P2cms & 1080 Pa

Question for anyone using P2CMS, we're shooting a project at 1080 PA, and of course the clips are stuttery. Any way of smoothing that out before coverting to Vegas? (or whatever NLE you're working with)

do you mean stuttery as in fast pan stuttery ? If not The clips can lag a bit if your HardDisk cant take the speed or CPU is a bit slow

Playback stuttery and slow. Just does it in 1080, 720 seems to play back fine, but you may be on to something. Can't remember what the processor speed is, but it's a 2 year old laptop so it's probably not the fastest.

Yeah we have an HP laptop at work, i like it cause it has a PCMCIA slot and at massive screen RES so good for monitoring, it plays out 720p fine but 1080 its like 2 or 4 frames a second and that is from an external drive, its just the CPU it cant decode the DVCPRO100 in time (i think thats the story) might have to use a faster work station it edit your 1080, but if your just using it to ingest go for it :)
