Red Dot in footage? The heck?

I'm shooting right now and thankfully we had a backup cam but my cam has been producing a red dot much pike a stuck pixel in my images and its recorded. I took the cam off the crane. Turned it off then took the battery out foe a while and its gone. I want to know what caused it though cause that ain't good. Anyone?

Usually when that happens to me, it's just blood on the lens.

Is it really just 1px square? Can you post a screenshot?

It looks like a dead pixel in the footage. Wasn't the LCD.
