It looks pretty noisy in the shadow area of the clip.

Does the EX-1 have a negative gain setting?

For all the noiseless talk, this clip's pretty noisey in the dark areas.

I bet that would have been a near pitchblack setting around the front of stage/audience area to the naked eye though. I like the shine off the chairs on stage.

The audience and the front of the stage don't seem to be the point of focus.

I liked the framing.

There definitely was some noise but that is cool as it was a naturally lit scene (available light)

Looks much better than a lot of the "film" I've seen. I don't like film grain either since it's just a weakness of film that some want to call a "feature".

I dunno. That looks pretty good to me. My HVX (which I recently sold) would've been crawling with noise all over if shooting this scene. I couldn't seem to get noise-free images from the HVX even in natural daylight.
