HVX hours?

No need for a lengthy discussion or anything since I don't even own one but I'm just curious...

How is usage measured on the HVX and similar cameras? Whereas seeing how many head hours a camera has on it has been indicative of its use in the past, how is this measured now that P2 cards and hard drives are being used?

I think the actual hours are tallied up by how long the cam is on.

so wheather your usin p2 or tape the hrs should still be calculating.

I know the DVX has an "power on" hours counter, that totals hours where the camera is on.... but it also has a head hours counter, for how many hours the tape head has been used.

I would imagine with the HVX it would use a "recorded hours" tag instead of head hours.

(I don't actually own the HVX, so that's just a guess on my part.)
